108 Vehicles Undergo Emission Tests in East Jakarta

Some 108 vehicles underwent free emission tests located in the yard of the local mayor's office initiated by East Jakarta Environment Sub-agency, Wednesday (6/26).

Hopefully, it could become a routine agenda

Environmental Damage Monitoring and Control Section Acting Head, Arian Pramudi said this emission test was held for private vehicles belonging to employees, operational service vehicles (KDO), and those belonging to residents. Vehicles tested for emissions were for diesel and petrol fuel and motorbikes.

"It is only held for one day," he said.

Dhany: Vehicles Failed in Emission Test Must Not Be Operated

Of 108 vehicles, 95 vehicles were petrol fueled (cars and motorbikes) and 13 others were diesel fueled. Unfortunately, around 15 vehicles failed the test.

"From January to June 25, 1,171 vehicles have undergone the emission tests," he explained.

One of the vehicle owners admitted the emission test was very helpful.

"Hopefully, it could become a routine agenda," he hoped.
